The striking black-and-white lighthouse at Prince Edward Island’s westernmost point, with parking that puts you directly beside Cedar Dunes Provincial Park and the beach.

The short version
We drove to West Point, the westernmost point on Prince Edward Island, and parked at the West Point Lighthouse Inn & Museum.
The lighthouse stands inside Cedar Dunes Provincial Park and made a great landmark for our beach wander. From there, it was easy to reach the red-sand shore where Tilly splashed at the water’s edge.

We used the lighthouse parking to access Cedar Dunes and its beach with Tilly on leash.
