Tracadie Beach

One of our favourite points on PEI: a dog-friendly beach for a long shoreline hike and Tilly’s dip in the water when several peak-season Parks Canada beaches were off limits to dogs.

The short version

Tracadie Beach was the beach that quickly became one of my favourite points on the island. Unlike several Parks Canada beaches that did not allow dogs during peak season, Tracadie was open to dogs on our visit.

We walked along the beach, took in the dunes and let Tilly cool off in the water. It was exactly the sort of wide-open beach stop we had been looking for.
