Our notes on the dog-friendly Nova Scotia Visitor Information Centre at Fort Lawrence, visited in 2025 and again with a bagpiper in 2026.
Fort Lawrence sits at the Nova Scotia border on the drive from New Brunswick, and its visitor information centre became our first stop in the province in both 2025 and 2026.
The centre welcomed Tilly and gave us a useful leg stretch among open grounds, marsh views, flags and gardens. A bagpiper playing in the gardens made our July 2026 return especially memorable.
