A dog exploring Hopewell Cape

The dog-friendly guide to

Hopewell Cape

Walk the ocean floor under the flowerpot rocks.

Field notes August 2026

Our practical Hopewell Cape notes: the Hopewell Rocks day trip from Moncton, timed for low tide so we could walk the seabed with Tilly.

Hopewell Cape sits on the Bay of Fundy, home to the Hopewell Rocks — flowerpot sea stacks you can walk right up to when the tide drops.

We made a day trip out from Moncton, timed our visit for low tide, and walked the ocean floor. Dogs are permitted on leash, and Tilly loved it down there.
