A practical dog-friendly guide to the Winnipeg places where we stayed, walked and ate on both directions of the 2024 road trip.
Winnipeg was our first extended stop after crossing onto the prairies, then later became the first overnight on the three-day sprint home.
On the westbound stay, the Exchange District gave us a central base for The Forks, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights grounds and dog-friendly patio meals. On the return leg, Super 8 Winnipeg East kept the overnight simple with no dog charge and a pet blanket and bed for Tilly.
